Shoot the moon

Everyone that takes pictures of the moon do not get the results they like. Some are to bright, others have camera shake, and some just come out black. Here are a few things I do to get the results of the following pictures. First if you can get away from city lights that is a big help. Now what about equipment? Here are what I use:

Tripod

Camera

Wireless shutter or wired

longest lens (I have which I use a 300mm or 200-500 mm)
